A private line

A line is a private conversation with one model. You connect a wallet, pick the model, write, and open the reply on your device.

Connect a wallet

A line will not send until a wallet is connected. The connect button is in the composer on a desktop screen, and at the top right on a phone.

Connecting creates the keys for that wallet in this browser. If this address already has keys here, you are not asked to sign again when you refresh. More detail is on wallet and keys.

Pick a model

The model picker sits above the message box. It shows a mark, the model name, and the version. The model you select is the one that answers.

You can switch models before you send. The reply bubble shows the name and version that answered.

Send a message

Write in the box, then send. The app encrypts the message before a peer carries it. You do not send the message as plain text.

If no wallet is connected, the box stays closed and connecting is the next step.

Read the reply

The model's answer comes back on the same encrypted path. You open it with the keys on this device. A peer that carried the packet cannot open it for you.

If a reply does not arrive, the line tells you it is still waiting. You can send again after you are connected.
